Coming, by March 2026: Rise
I’m excited to share that eleven songs for my second album, Rise, have been recorded, and the album should release - not crazy about the trendy term “drop” - by March after mastering and distribution. This album was recorded during some trying and turbulent times (family, health issues), and some portions take on a bit of a brooding tone, such as Industry Analysts Say. Yet, some cheerful and upbeat selections like Reggaessance emerged despite the mostly dour recording period. I think this is consistent with the Rise theme and the way that we tenaciously adapt, pivot, and soldier on in life. Two of the songs, Ascent and Onward and Upward, directly address this phenomenon, while echoing Forth and Build from the Foundation album. Had You Lived That Life is not intended to be prescriptive, but rather invites the listener to think of a fork in the road in their life had they made a different choice. While both albums obviously feature electronic music, I would characterize Rise as “more electronic,” given some of the track depth and voicings that are employed in the songs. I believe that Rise is superior, since Foundation served as exactly that (a foundation) for my public coming of age within the modern recording and distribution environment. While I have certainly been influenced by many great recording artists, I would argue that both albums are unlike any other electronic music offering. I expect to release the third album of the trilogy, Capstone, in very late 2026 or early 2027. Thank you for listening and feedback is welcome.
